MOSS FLOATING REGASIFICATION

 Floating Storage & Regasification (FSRU)
The Moss FSRU was developed on the basis of experience gained from over 30 years of operating Moss™ LNG carriers, and comprises LNG loading, storage and regasification on a single floating unit. The FSRU consists of a steel monohull with Moss® LNG tanks, regasification plant, turret and gas export facilities, and all necessary safety and crew facilities.
  • Significant cost reduction potential compared to onshore facilities

  • Minimum shore facilities, no costly jetty

  • LNG storage capacities of up to 450,000 m3

  • Side-by-side or tandem loading from LNG shuttle tankers

  • Newbuilding or based on conversion of existing Moss™ LNG carriers

  • Turret or spread-moored anchor line arrangement

  • Easy to relocate - can cover several short-term gas delivery contracts

  • Short project lead time and short completion time

  • Wide range of gas send-out capacities, using various methods for regasification

  • Construction/conversion and completion at experienced shipyard

  • Modular design concept, using the proven Moss® spherical LNG containment system

Moss® LNG tanks are ideal for FSRUs. Partial loading at any tank filling level is inherent in the design
