The multi-purpose bare-deck platform CS50 was developed to serve a variety of possible end users in a market with little or no platform contracting.

Adaptable for many purposes, this catamaran-type semi-submersible platform is designed with two pontoons and six stabilizing columns supporting the upper structure. The upper deck can carry a top structure of 20,000 tons. This makes it suitable as a heavy-duty drilling rig (either dynamically positioned or anchor moored), a platform structure for floating production, or any special purpose application, such as the SDX-1 radar platform used by the U.S. Department of Defense.
