Moss Maritime has developed a simple and operation-friendly LNG regasification system for installation onboard LNG Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) or regasification vessels.

The LNG regasification takes place in vaporizers, where it uses either steam or sea water as the heating medium in the closed- or open-loop vaporization process. The direct heat transfer without intermediate heating mediums minimizes the complexity and improves operation friendliness.

The Moss LNG regasification system was chosen for the world’s first FSRU conversion: the Golar Spirit FSRU. In addition, Moss Maritime has significant experience in the engineering of FSRUs, having developed the concepts and detail engineering for several FSRU conversion projects. Concepts for newly built FSRUs have also been developed,and backed by this industry-leading expertise, Moss customers can count on simple, reliable solutions for their projects.
